Funny thought
Gem is always very full of energy and is a little spite fire. Yet when she is exhausted she tries to hide it...but anyone can tell when she needs to stop doing something. It’s almost like she has a low battery sign over her head. Cause she will become even more clumsy, say words that don’t exist, or just like a dog start falling asleep in whatever position she is in but tries to fight it.
So...I’m just saying but...
Gem as a child would be so chaotic. She would be the kid who loved to think they could sing but would only sing one part of a song over and over and over again. She would draw on the walls, be the kid who always wanders off if her parents don’t have her on a leash. Yet at the same time she usually sings a song about loving her parents or Uncle Rabbit (Rocket), she draws cute pictures that her dad sometimes refuses to get rid of, and is always found trying to steal things Rocket told her to get. And yes, Gem would wake her dad up with a good hit to the face (love tap).

New headcanon
It wasn’t Peter who taught Gem her first curse word, it was Rocket. One day they are trying to get away from some ships and all they here is. “Oh Fuck!” Gamora freezes and slowly turns towards Peter before she starts yelling at him for teaching their four year old daughter how to curse, and Rocket is just laughing as Gem sits down at his feet and says “I dropped my candy Uncle Rocket...”
