Refs of the main characters of Space Light, a cartoon project I have been working on for 5 years!

💚Mia: Her design changed the most. She went from being this cool, sassy lowkey self insert to a bubbly, nerdy, space obsessed not self insert. Though to be honest, a lot of her interest are still modeled after mine, like her obsession with Detective Why, this universe’s version of Doctor Who. I gave her a windbreaker and star earrings because she’s a retro loving kind of gal.
💜Leo: Leo was the hardest to design. His color palette was physically painful, trying to balance the cool purples and blues with his ginger hair was…so hard… Could I have changed his hair color? Probably! But his ginger hair is so iconic I couldn’t. As always, he’s a smug prince who likes to fight and thinks he’s a big shot. Really, he’s kind of a loser, but he’s our loser 😌
💙 Xavier: Xavier’s design changed the least. From the very beginning I knew he should have black spiky hair, a red scarf, and a leather jacket, and he’s kept that through out all his designs. He’s always been an earth fanboy, though his personality has gone from tired and grumpy to curious and kinda dorky. He matches Mia’s love for Detective Why, but is kinda scary at times.
💛Zephyr: Zephyr’s design compared to last iteration also didn’t change much, but she has gone through several changes since the beginning. She used to be the bubbly one, with a little bit of snarky cool girl in her, to now being the grumpy, serious one. She has a bit of an ego now and is kind of akin to RotTMNT Donnie. And she still hates Mia at first. That’ll never change. I also decided that she and Xavier are siblings instead of cousins.
