more space pyrite. and soap.
space pyrite summary:
Pyrite, only able to get in contact with Barry, is unable to be rescued once he gets into space. The rocket he makes is larger, properly spaceworthy, and he manages to rig a warp pad so that Barry can send him food like the watchers could.
After a year or so travelling, he finds what looks like a broken down, abandoned ship floating out in space. He docks, and boards to investigate but finds nothing other than some cool alien tech.
When he returns to his ship and leaves, all seems normal until a few days later when he's suddenly attacked by something that springs out of a vent duct. The alien brandishes a weapon at him and forces him to the cockpit, putting in a location and making Pyrite head towards it.
After realising how slow the ship is, the alien calms down slightly, allowing Pyrite to start trying to communicate with it. It speaks in standard galactic, so he's able to mostly translate but they lose a lot of nuance.
The alien, which he dubs Rythian because of the resemblance (and because, hey, he's met weirder clones), was a soldier sent to invade a neighbouring system but something went wrong. It just wants to go home.
Pyrite goes: oh. okay! and just decides he's really not got anything else going on.
slowburn ensues
I'm getting cuteness aggression from this lemur bug

They're a little shorter than him but they're always hanging from the ceiling or perched on something. likes to be tall.
Give us a biology lesson on this funny little guy?
They're from an underground civilisation that evolved in narrow vertical caves. Their cities and infrastructure developed with a resemblance to this, even when above ground, to allow them to move through it as they always have.
They have four arms with a wide range of motion, and two legs with much the same. Strong claws on their hands and feet to grip with. Long, prehensile tail for further grip or for balance. They're cold blooded, and have strips of bioluminescent bumps that run up from their eyes and down their backs.
Very agile, very smart, have their own language but are also very good mimics.
