It's planet aviato day! I worked on a big part of the crystal planet and painting them was the highlight of working on Space Tail. I provided main color and vibe concepts, plant explorations and designs, and then painted a chunk of the assets along with @silesianna. Best period of the development, if you ask me, just peaceful painting in nice colors while listening to ttrpgs
Space Tail: Every Journey Leads Home premiered on thursday, so it's time to share which of the assets you can encounter on one of the first levels I painted! I am especially happy with these gibli-esque grasses since I didn't really paint before working on the game, so everything was new to me.
Last Space Tail batch I really wanted to share. Ancient outof our world machines for one particular sequence of the game. They needed to make sense, but also look fancy, so I was sketching and then painting a lot of joints for this task. It was fun to paint all the shiny elements.
I said the last arts from Space Tail were last, but I have to post this here. It's a rejected sketch for the key art, just a thumbnail really, but Bea here came out so happy!
