the ask you’re referring to was done awhile ago, and while I can’t discredit myself, I can make a correction: its not really hinted but rather there’s So Much Potential
if you’re not caught up with the manga I can tell you Bakugou and Kirishima have many, many interactions that differ from your cookie cutter shounen Manly Men relationship, and it wouldn’t be unlikely for Todoroki to have a canon crush on Deku or Iida. Jirou and Momo seem to be very close as well having more than one occasion where it seems that they’re more than just friends.
Horikoshi-sensei has definitely broken some barriers by making Tiger a transman, although it’s not explicitly stated, but we’re already aware that Uraraka is Deku’s supposed love interest. that’s one common shounen trope checked off (I won’t go into extreme detail about Ura putting her crush aside because it doesn’t pertain to the ask; she is differing from the shounen trope so I wont say she’s for sure the love interest Deku will end up with)
we also have to take into consideration that western values are very different from other countries, especially Japan. there isn’t as much hypermasculinity, so close interaction between male characters may be perceived as romantic in western countries but your typical male friendship over there. the same goes for (although less so) for female relationships and how they’re perceived.
