wait ok if apollo didnt pick its name and just started being called that, what WOULD it pick if given the chance. ...would it pick anything at all.
Hmm,,, Probably wouldnt have picked anything, but it would respond to the name mind - so stealing mind’s name if that counts.
Alternatively just Fe2O3 because that’s like the chemical name for rust. Or ferro, sounds name-like and still relates to iron but I doubt it’d react to that
But Apollo stuck as the name it reacts to, and it’s easier to call out and idly say than Fe2O3

king hugo of the nothing-planet thinks himself more important than he is. what allies his people had have long assumed him dead and underestimate the value of the secrets he keeps for them. the harkonnens are kind enough to house them for now, but he knows his time is running out in the baron's good graces and soon his people will be either slaughtered or enslaved.
it's not that he cares very much for them. he just wonders what use a king is without anyone to lord over.
down the crypt-like halls of the guest wing, hugo storms ahead while the na-baron (damn him, curse him, theif, pig, animal) makes no effort to match him. cocky, smug, languid.
"i assure you, you will want to hurry for this." velvet-smooth, smiling. "i have a gift for you."
in his quarters there is a girl. prettiest his people can offer, by hugo's estimation, with large brown eyes and a fair length of dark hair stretching to her shoulders. she waits for them on the edge of the bed, hands on her knees.
"na-baron, you've made your -- attachment to my cousin quite plain. i'm sure you can understand that if your uncle has no intention of allowing us to stay, you may not keep her. in the spirit of friendship i offer you this specimen -- or the opportunity to bargain for the other."
Bro. Bro do you ever look at the stars and think
Holy shit those look yummy
I want to eat a fucking star guys
Give me the Sun I will eat the Sun
If Seven Red Suns Rain World read this they would probably think I’m insane

Sharkside of the Moon (2022) Oh I did it,I fucking did it! I watched the most epic piece of shit of the summer of 2022. Tubi original made by Asylum and guess fucking what everybody? I REALLY LIKED IT! YES I fucking did. It's dumb, the cgi is hilarious and the acting is all off but that's fine. What it doesn't do is stall. No long stretched out talking head moments and the atmosphere is constant. Constantly bad but it doesn't cut to some filler scene in some office to pad the film out. At one momment the cgi will be decent and boom silly again like they didn't give a damn. They are on the moon and they stay on the moon. They fight an army of sharkman mutants and sure they look ridiculous but they fight em and share the screen with the people, hiding nothing. This movie knows it's ridiculous science is so dumb and it proudly shoves it in your face. It gets weirder and weirder and never seems to know it. So it just keeps going until it's full on evil street sharks versus astronauts and everybody is gonna die. Even the very last minute adds to the ridiculous right down the final words being Spoiler "We're fucked". It plays it straight and yet if you're a fan of cheese filled sci fi you can't help but constantly laugh. Maybe it just got me at a good moment but right afterwards I watched Deadly Descent with Adrian Paul in a movie about killer prehistoric sloths on a ski slope and that movie made me want to punch myself in the nuts and jump into a lake. So yeah Sharkside of the Moon was a fun bit of fromage. Two fins up in space.
