petunia looks away (shes flustered, but she doesnt know why. she likes men, right?)
aurora is a half blood, and it turns out she only lives one city over from the Evans
'hey, evans. this is uncalled for, but do you want to study together this summer? i heard you have one of the same classes i had when i was in your year.' (aurora is a year or two older than lily, same as petunia)
lily, being the young witch who thirsts for knowledge (and being a youngest sibling who can SENSE the shit stirring she could do) she says yes, even volunteers to do it at her own house
aurora is like YEAHHHH SCORE
cut to the entire summer, at first aurora comes around once a week or so to study
but then. she actually meets and bonds with petunia
oh shes spending the NIGHT now
they get rlly close over the summer, and promise to owl when school starts back up
petunia is intrigued by this girl who actually cares about her more than her sister, who isnt a friend of her sisters
and aurora is entranced by this gorgeous girl who does muggle magic.
petunia sees aurora off to hogwarts, and the send owls back and forth for the whole year.
by the next summer, they are dating.
they date until they are both around 20, 21?
then petunia falls victim to social standards and compet ideals and theres a rlly bad breakup
then yk canon she gets w whats his face and has dudley
but in the good in fun au its just a small breakup and they end up back together and get married and have a kid (petunia did want to be a mother, the hetero part was the worst)
