Final word count is in! All of the words I have written on ao3 make up…. About 15 novels worths. (Averaging 50,000 words per novel)

And that doesn’t take into account my traditionally published other four novels which are longer than 50,000 words. Because. Fantasy.

Three very different moods going on in my sequel’s sequel: and a combination of fate. Part III in my light, we carry as armour, teen wolf series where Claudia is a time travelling magic welding spark in a poly relationship with Noah and Peter.

Noah: I don’t know you anymore. But I will tie an ankle monitor to you.

Claudia: no, you don’t know me. I was tortured and almost died because of the nemeton. I have things to do. You can’t keep me locked up like a Disney princess.

Peter: Careful, Noah. She’s a killer now. But I’m very intrigued with this new version of our gal.

Hi! I woke up to multiple comments on a VARIOUS number of fics, and I just want to THANK YOU! You made my day. I'm glad to read you enjoyed Backwards - it's a favourite for me as well. And 'Chasin' you' was a way to get back into writing after yeaaaaars so it's personal, but now I'm working on an original novel - insane, really. SO THIS IS REALLY NICE OF YOU OKAY. Chris Argent in Light, We Carry as Armor

I've gotten a few comments about Chris Argent on my Teen Wolf FF on Ao3, and I wanted to meta a little about it here on tumblr. I honestly love these comments because yes. Chris Argent can be read as a Disney princess 🤣 ( in FF at least) I mean surrounded by creatures, always in the woods, always getting picked up, thrown around, etc. This HC always makes me chuckle. Spoilers for my fic below... link to the series in the title.

For me, I've always looked at him as a complicated character. A good solider, afraid to step out of line. I definitely wrote him like that in A Father's Vengeance. I think at first, he's an antagonist. But the more the plot is revealed, the more we find out that he is holding to a code on conduct that he thinks everyone else is also holding to and they are not. I think it causes him to think about his place in his family and what is actually right and wrong throughout the confrontations with his father, with Claudia, and the other Hales.

He was raised by Gerard to be a werewolf hunter, to be the best, but he doesn't have that streak for sadism like Gerard and Kate. I think his father tried to manipulate him, but sensed early on that Chris had a defiance to him that would have outed Gerard if he stepped out of line, so Gerard didn't recruit him into the more sneaky schemes.

I think that as he learns more and more about Gerard's plans, it was easier to just step aside and let what happens happen. He doesn't interfere in Peter rescuing Claudia, he doesn't interfere when the alpha attacks Gerard, and he doesn't go after the Hales in the aftermath. He just lets the events take over.

I think part of this is compartmentalizing, because his father can't be that bad, can he? Kate couldn't have done those things to Derek, would she? Even if it's staring him in the face, it's going to take time to deal with those things. Because if that's his family, what does that make Chris?

I think he desperately wants to do the right thing and in his world, the right thing is following the code, and making sure that werewolves don't step out of line. But when it's his own family stepping out of line, that is breaking the world he's created for himself, and that causes the conflicts that we see going on where he doesn't actively step in and be the hero, but he doesn't continue to be the bad guy either. Hence the Princess handwringing that the commentator is referring too.

My WIP Obsession Right Now

i'm usually quiet on here about what I'm working on, but I am neck deep in what started as a two chapter WIP about Claudia Stlinkski going back in time to fix things so the Hales never died, and has now turned into a four part series, with smut, a poly relationship, and all sorts of what-if's about sparks and magic, kidnapping, torture, full-shift werewolves, the Hale/Argent feud, lawyer Peter, wolfy juvenile Derek Hale, Sterek, the whole Hale pack, tons of banter, smut... etc.

The series is called Light, We Carry as Armor on AO3. I already have the first part up and full completed, called A Mother's Love (12 chapters) and the second part called Sweeter then Lemonade, a little smutty story about Claudia's birthday. I'm currently posting the third part, A Father's Vengeance (11 chapters when done).

Each chapter is about 6,000 words long and I'm juggling multiple POVs, and magic, and a whole lot of stuff. It's a blast and I'm so proud of myself for seeing this idea through. Hyper-fixating on it honestly.

I am currently planning for a fourth part, called Set to Rights about the aftermath of A Father's Vengeance. These things keep spawning themselves and it's honestly a vibe to be this into a series to keep on going.

Watching Teen Wolf in the year of our lord 2025 is wild. Like damn girl! All these characters have such sexual tension with one another. Canon ships? What’s a canon ship in this fandom? They’re ALL canon ships with evidence to back it up.
