fucking honestly though ?  but like, i think the best part was when he wasted a paragraph writing in the POV of a passing fox watching pippin, frodo and sam sleep next to a giant tree.

           “ i can’t tell you how happy i am that you’re here. ”               an inhale trails close behind, slipping into the half-turned rec room chair with an inaudible sigh.      granted,      it     had     been a while since christine was transferred to the enterprise,      though nyota       could not help        but to express her immense approval whenever possible.        ESPECIALLY       when she found herself practically       drowning      in testosterone.         “ i   hate   men. ”         almost slams her coffee cup against the table,        taking a breath as she rolls brown hues.        “ you think after proving myself in the field i’d be doing something other than opening  &   closing hailing frequencies all day while everyone else is making first contact. ”          it seemed as though getting assigned to a vessel of exploration didn’t necessarily mean you get to explore.
