number one kendall roy breakdown song of my heart, among other things. it's got a little bit of that clarice lispector magic, where it's possible to go okay i get how they came up with this riff and that line, but why is the sum so much greater and more terrible than the parts...the refrain of "i'll make it up to you" especially manages to transcend the sentiment.

i think it might be unlistenable if you're not in the right place, but as i put it earlier this year, it's possible to feel at home in the landscape of the music...scattered remnants of the ship and blood staining the icy wall of the shore and all.

Award winners of color literally can't act anything but gracious and grateful. Being vocally over it and bored by awards season for always being nominated is white privilege.

oh yeah for sure. if they actively speak out against the awards or hollywood they run the risk of getting blacklisted (not just from future awards but the industry as a whole) and even if they don’t go that far but just don’t act ~appropriately~ grateful, they’d for sure get torn apart by the public and called disrespectful or rude while white actors who do worse are thought of as endearingly crotchety or eccentric or “artists who just care about their craft” more than awards

Can’t wait to see this!!! Lovely to see Richard featured in both of these videos. Although his role isn’t going to be that large, corporate CEO James Sullivan is certainly a main part as the story’s “evil genius” whose skin he fit into perfectly as usual. Cinematography looks fantastic so far! Some of these screen shots are duplicates of an earlier copy of the featurette, but now in full HD. I definitely plan on buying this film permanently for the collection!
