Here’s just our Moon 🌚 looking like an ancient shining gem 💎 amongst the inky black endless “forever” space. Now this is what I call the Moon. From this close it’s got such a brilliant shine to it. Beautiful video footage don’t you agree? Please leave a comment on it. @ufosightingsfootage #ufosfootage #spacetimelapse #moon #themoon #lunar #lunarsurface Posted @withrepost • @space Should we go to the Moon or Mars?👇 You've probably never seen the moon like this 🌚 That's because the moon is tidally locked to Earth, so we only see one side. Almost like its spinning with us. This video was created using images from the Lunar Reconnaissance orbiter. You can see how much lighter the other side is, it's called the lunar highlands. They formed when magma erupted from below the moons surface into a lava lake. Large flocks floated to the surface when it cooled which formed the highlands. Right now NASA is kind of figuring out whether they're going to the moon or Mars first. If we did a moon trip, it could be a lot sooner than Mars, and could also help us test things for Mars. But it could also possibly push the Mars mission back if we're spending all our money to go to the moon and establish bases. The NASA budget which was just approved by congress is $19.5 billion. The military and defense budget on the other hand gets $600 billion. Just imagine how far into the future we would've been by now if it were the opposite 😅 Comment any questions/thoughts you have!👇 Video: Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter/ NASA (at Poulton, Blackpool, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuzSOm9h8Kh/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=faofsij8cssm
