RAVIOLI❤️❤️
I do not open this prop box very often, and it's been running for a couple years now 😅 I tend to throw in everything I don't want to throw away immediately (almost everything). Except, it's been pretty much full for a while, so I just let it do it's thing. Most of all I keep it undisturbed because of the live spaghnum moss that had revived on it's own. It's growing happily 💕 Other than that, there's mostly Golden Pothos in there, as well as a few of it's cultivars, along with a couple variegated Epipremnum pinnatums and apparently a million variegated Syngoniums 😅 aaaand a corner with String of Hearts that's surviving for a couple years now but isn't totally happy in there. Maybe it's gotten too dark with how much stuff is in there, but I'm surprised it doesn't mind the conditions all that much.
That aside, I'm having a thrips infestation in the rest of my apartment currently that I don't have the (health) resources to deal with, so many of my plants aren't looking their best unfortunately. This has been going for quite a while already, but I hope at some point I'll get to it 😅🥲 Surprisingly, the marantas are looking the healthiest and happiest, it's like nothing is happening at all. The pothoses are rolling their eyes at me, but apart from that they're dealing. Leaves just don't look very nice anymore. I still love them, they're champs 🥺💕
I think this little strand of spaghnum has actually revived? It's definitely not just algae. I have mistaken algae on moss for live moss when I first saw it, but that looks different. The live moss is very bright green while the algae is a much darker shade, both are in the left pic. It's taken like a year in the prop box to do that, so it could be possible? Could also be a different type of moss, but maybe the future will bring more clarity. Really cool to see in any case! Will keep all the contenders in that corner to set what will happen! 👀

Peperomia prostrata- String of Turtles 𓆉
∘₊✧────────────────────✧₊∘
The large turtles were from the original cutting purchased from Etsy! Everything else is a little over three months of new growth! Still in sphagnum moss since it loves the humidity that its plastic provides :)
Their beautiful showy flowers come in every color you can think of with the exceptions of black and blue.
Unlikely savior: The remarkable properties of spaghnum moss help preserve long-dead bodies, sequester carbon and even heal wounds. (4kodiak / iStock) read more
