SPAM Museum: They have SPAMples! Hey guys! We are in Austin, MN and we are checking out a notable canned meat, SPAM. SPAM was created by the Hormel Foods company and has been around since 1937. Now, SPAM has over 15 different flavors and has manufactured over a billion cans. Come along with us as we eat some samples and check out the museum! Parking: There is a designated lot, but parking was plentiful in the area. Worth a Visit: Yes! If you are interested in SPAM's inception and involvement in feeding many soldiers during war, you will enjoy the SPAM museum. All the exhibits are interactive and there is even a play area for kids! As with any museum they have a gift shop which the items are all reasonably priced. The gift shop has a lot of interesting items like toothbrushes, wine glasses, and car air freshers.
