#spanish fail

My husband and I are trying to learn Spanish together as a friendly competition/keep our minds active kind of thing. We both took some in middle/high school so a lot of it is just remembering what we forgot. 

Anyways, so we’re at the point now where we’re trying to practice at home and via our texts. Problem is my phone doesn’t recognize Spanish and keeps trying to auto correct. Take tonight for instance: 

Husband: Quieres papas fritas?

What I meant to type: Si, tengo papas fritas.

What my phone typed: Si, tengo poo ass.

So I was practicing Spanish and instead of writing "Hoy es miércoles," I accidentally wrote, "Hoy es mierda," and I have to say both are equally true

omg so I was skyping with my friend from Spain in Spanish and I didn't know the word for hostel so I said "biblioteca de camas" which means "library of beds"

My mom pulled over next to a (hot) cop to ask for the directions to a city. She started in Spanish the blurted out something Italian-ish, then looked at me like I was the only one who could save us all (which was, in fact, the case). The cop was just looking at us with a look of utmost compassion and kindness on his face. Mom's still embarrassed about it.

IM SCREAMING . My friend who is in lower Spanish asked me 'so I have to do this translation thingy- is this right? It's supposed to say 'I get sweet bread on my birthday' and she says 'Yo obtener pan dulce en mi ano' . AND IM DYING IM SORRY BUT

I’m watching House Hunters International and they’re in Costa Rica. This guy just said “I can hear the huevos crashing on the beach!”

Awks moment when you confuse uvas y uñas.
