Ngl, I figured Sparken in your Blaziken line came from sparring (as in, practice fighting with another person) and chicken, but spark like an ember spark is a pretty cool origin too. I love the unintended interpretation I got from it though, I love it when Pokémon names are a little ambiguous like that.
I'm glad you sent this ask, I didn't realize I left out "spar" from the name origin of Sparken. I've amended it! Here's the original naming text for it:
