Fun Facts about yourself: GW2 Edition
Tagged by @mindlessabnormity <3 Thank you.
Rules: List 5 facts about yourself as a player and tag people to get to know the fun and surprising stuff they’re willing to share 👍
1.) My cousin gifted me Guild Wars 1 Deluxe Edition for Christmas back when I was about 14. I had no idea what I was doing, but had a ton of fun. He played with me for a couple of months and quit, but I still kept going. I had a Necromancer Elementalist named Endorall and a monk elementalist named Sashimi. I didn’t know what Sashimi was at the time, and thought it was pretty.
2.) The one singular time I took a break from GW2 was during Living World Season 1 and I’m still salty at myself about it. I remembered Lion’s Arch from GW1, and when I walked into it all destroyed, I remembered thinking “Something happened here...” I thought the dwarves had something to do with it.
3.) I dropped 200 dollars on gems in one go for gold so that I could buy the permanent bank contract at a cheaper price on the Trading Post a few years back. I use it literally every day, and don’t regret the decision.
4.) I’m an avid roleplayer on GW2 and have been part of a roleplay guild for 5 years come January 2021. (Hit me up if you ever wanna talk characters!)
5.) My two most favorite memories in GW2 are: 1. hearing a dragon roar for the first time in Sparkfly Fen, only to crest a hill and see Tequatl for the first time. It was chaos. Everyone was dead, Tequatl was wreaking havoc, map chat was panicking, I still didn’t know that enter allowed you to use said chats... Yet we still beat it. 2. Looking into the sky and seeing Kralkatorrik for the first time legitimately made me cry. It was so seamless and amazing how that moment was presented. I’ll never forget these moments.
@commander-titania @paluwu-joko @scribesofcalamity @just-eyris-things Have you all had the chance to do this yet? :3
reasons Tequatl is the best world boss:
“Brothers, sisters, ready yourself! Tequatl is here!”
"THERE’S SOMETHING IN THE WATER! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!”
"Get back! It's about to breathe! Stay out of its way!"
“Target is in the air! I repeat: target is in the air!”
The Vigil Megalaser is charged! Get back into the fray!
“Such a cost. So many dead...”
Uh...does anyone know what this area behind a Sparkyfly Fen vista is? Like are there lore implications or a jumping puzzle? I love the hell out of this map and only found it now, after years of map completions.
Gamora showed up in the Grove and Faolin showed up at Tequatl.
Tryna get back into watercolor after putting it down for what feels like a century, one teeny step at a time. Splintered coast at sort of night.
Sparkfly Fen
Sparkfy Fen fen was my fav zone pre-HoT. The mangrove forest, so peaceful and beautiful, filled with rotting corpses. Imagine heat and high humidity, huge water bodies, upscale, and you’ll get pandemia to add to the picture. Little Pact/Lionguard presence, little ammo or supplies or medication. You are alone. Only them frogs dying from thirst will keep you company.
It was a great introduction to Orr, which actually seemed like a nice place after with their tanks and their bombs and their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, zoombie, zoooombie, zoooooombie-eh-eh...
