'They want to bless each other': New Winnipeg pizzeria lets customers donate a slice to others in need | CBC News

A North End Winnipeg takeout pizza place is using sticky notes and the generosity of strangers to help feed hungry people who can't afford their food.

Allowing patrons to "pay it forward" is a unique way for restaurants and cafes to provide for people in need within their communities. Do you know of any places near you with a similar program?

Congratulations to the winner and runners-up of my 2018 #SparkGoodness contest! Grand Prize winner Mike B.'s inspirational story of a hike with his daughter received the most votes throughout November and December, and I was also very pleased to award runner-up prizes to the four entrants whose SparkGoodness stories received the next-highest number of community votes. 

I truly believe that even the smallest sparks of goodness can help make our world better, and by celebrating the everyday heroes in our midst, we are celebrating our own potential to make a difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who participated in #SparkGoodness over the past 12 months... May each one of us find ways to create sparks of good throughout 2019!
