Doing, blab

Doing:

     1) Veleth meditates every day when he both wakes up and prepares to go to sleep.

     2) He’ll frequently slip into speaking Common over Orcish despite his time in the Horde.

     3) He refers to people he respects by their proper titles, such as Doctor or their noble standing.

Blab

     1) He is still glad that Felthier died after the Winter of Woe rather than continuing on in a state of undeath.

     2) He hopes that the Eastern Kingdoms will return to their pre-First War state. No orcs, no undead, and all the rightful kingdoms restored.

     3) After the Purge of Dalaran he killed the Horde soldiers he fought beside before defecting entirely and fleeing to Silvermoon.

ACTUALLY THE WORST FIGHT IN HEROIC and purely because RNG can slam into you like a truck screaming FUCK YOUUUU

The rng has been murdering us and the fight is overtuned for small groups and we're only ten people and I'm gonna scream this is legit the worst. We can't skip them either because of course we can't.

Up to 43 wipes, extending lockout until next week. rip.

Since Eleeria’s departure for Argus, Avie had hardly seen the woman. Finding the time between them was hard, and when the Dawnspire had been invaded by Baal’s rogue forces any chance of catching up with her sharp friend was gone until The Sunguard’s home was secured. Now though, the demons had been beaten back and Avie awaited the arrival of her friend with a glass of mulled wine more expensive than was entirely reasonable. At the sound of the bell, Avie set it aside and swept up to the door with a charming smile.

“Eleeria! Returned all in once piece, I see?”

“Well, all the pieces of me that went to Argus,” the lithe orange haired woman replied with a mischevious smirk as she waved her magical wooden hand. As she went to step over the threshold, Avie held up her own hand to pause her with a twinkle of her own in her eye and an upwards glance.“Now, El- it would be bad luck for me to let you pass under the mistletoe without even so much as a peck!”“Oh, simply disasterous,” Eleeria replied with a sly little grin before promptly leaning forward to kiss her friend. Whatever would the neighbours say?

I. Lupercal

1st: Which words, phrases, or concepts do your characters most overuse in conversation, and why? In what context?

Aten remembers the first time she heard the name. She had been just small, a slender slip of a thing, witch-marked. They gave her his Eye for protection until the ships could come, and left her well alone, scrabbling back and forth over tunnels of dust long since stripped of material worth. All Chthonia had to give anymore was life. The gangs feared her as much as they admired: a witch was a hell of a thing to be, an asset and a curse. Psychic talent was a blade without a hilt, and the only prayer worth saying was to Lupercal.

Lucky she was Chthonian born; lucky she was the type of witch one could train. She struggled through dust and blood and they took her to the stars; said they would make her perfect. She was fourteen. In the low tongues of her subterranean world, they called them “Space Marines;” she preferred the loftier “Adeptus Astartes,” and would be one of them. They were called Luna Wolves, then. She had known of other worlds before she saw them, and of the Emperor and his progeny. The one she calls Primarch is a son of Chthonia, too; he is Horus, called Lupercal.

Horus Lupercal was one of twenty, the Emperor’s own progeny. At Ullanor, he was named Warmaster; first among equals. Aten had seen a century, and more stars than she had known existed; she had studied at Prospero and learned the sorcerous power in names. In the course of her scholarship, she had discovered her own true name. Aten carried it with her to Ullanor. Upon its mirrored plane, surrounded by an innumerable throng of Adeptus Astartes, she rejoiced to see her Primarch lauded. Despite the many legions assembled to bear witness, there was one cry. It thundered in her ears: “Lupercal!”

They called him Warmaster, and all his Legion bore his name. It was a reminder to his brothers in his absence: among equals, the first. “Why would the Emperor leave us?” a fellow legionary asked her one day. “I can’t say,” Aten replied; “not even our Primarch knows.” “What could be so terribly important that he would leave his favored son? And Warmaster. What does that mean?” The psyker only shook her head. “It matters little enough. ‘Warmaster’ is a word; a chain we know not the length of. But who would you follow? The Emperor who abandoned us? Or Lupercal?”

Hardly a question worth considering. Aten followed her Warmaster unflinchingly: across the galaxy, against his tyrant father, even to the heart of Terra. The ship hung in orbit, the Imperial Palace spreading below them like a cancerous growth, gone black. Horus Lupercal was speaking: he was calling his sire from the depths of his palace to face him. As a man. As the equal the Emperor had never acknowledged him to be. The XVI held its breath. With the arrival of their foe, the air grew stifling. The Emperor had not come alone; the last insult he would ever deal Lupercal.

Aten took some comfort in the death of the Emperor, but it was little enough in the face of the death of her Primarch. It was hardly salve to the way she chafed when unworthy Abaddon had ordered their retreat. The Warp bothered her less and less; it had its uses. It was an extension of herself, more echoic than the stony spires of the Lupercalios. She kept vigil over Horus’ tomb, and the Empyrean echoed her mourner’s cries. Never so loudly as when the Emperor’s Children had come, spiriting away Horus’ corpse, and left her ragged, and screaming: “Lupercal! Lupercal!”

She did not speak that name in the millennia to come. Abaddon had stolen the Talon and the mantle of Warmaster, and she would not call him by that either. Still, the Long War was little match for a witch’s still longer memory. Aten was among the Black Legion, the false sons who had forsaken Horus’ name. She did not count herself among friends: allies of convenience, all bound to a singular purpose. Those bonds were fraying, in her warband. And in another, she discovered, when the sorcerer Charon had offered up a single word as farewell. The old cry, “Lupercal.”

Aten did not take Charon with her when their endeavor was ended. She found him later, and both recognized the influence of the Warp; he stayed with her, to aid Aten in her goal of restoring Horus. Of righting what once went awry. They had sworn it once, after all. Charon was not her only ally, nor was he, any longer, her newest. No, her newest had a face like her lord’s and half the memories of a favored Captain. Only half, so it was inevitable he might wonder: “What was he like, your—our—Primarch?” Aten smiled, and asked, “Lupercal?”

Fear + Element for Avie!

FEAR. -What are your muses biggest fears?

Avie is terrified of her father, Caemenas. She’s also afraid that she’ll never be good enough, and that she’ll fail to become a fully fledged Spellbreaker and in doing so, disappoint Zalin.

She’s constantly worried that something will happen to Iiloridan, being that he’s more like family to her than her blood relatives.

07. Is there a catchphrase or sound that they tend to make a lot (likely without being aware of it)?

Seilune scoffs and huffs often, and certainly to the point where she no longer notices she’s doing it! She has also become a motherly figure to some of the Agents and has become quite protective of her beloved, Veros. This has led her to using the phrase “Be careful!” a lot when they express a desire to do something that has risks involved. She often doesn’t realize how much of a mom she’s become, though sometimes she does and has to reel herself back!
