Hii!! This is my first post. Here's my art of Medjed and Aten!
some netjeru concept doodles. designs are subject to change.
tbh there isn't much i could do with aten so i just added a hat and wristbands on him
also i deliberately made my designs for horus the elder and younger nearly identical except for some minor features and their clothing style
When you find out the Lunigiana statue stele are 2000 years older than you, and suddenly your 3300 feels like twenty again.
A little teaser from the first panel of the next illustration —
Atem’s visiting the Pontremoli museum to get a better grasp on his next exam.
Yes, history is studying history. 😄
Final version here!

Aten = the radiant face of the divine, the visible outpouring of life: the source that nourishes life directly.
Historically, Aten meant the sun disk, and in Egyptian religion it became the luminous solar presence associated especially with Akhenaten’s reforms. It was depicted as the orb of the sun with rays ending in hands, giving life to the world. In older usage, the word could simply mean “disk,” before it was elevated into a divine form.
In the Great Hymn to the Aten, the rising sun is presented as the force that awakens, feeds, warms, and sustains the world. Spiritually, Aten can symbolize the animating principle that silently gives life to plants, animals, people, and the rhythms of the earth.
my best friend made the most husbando aten ever i love him so much im nghdfsgh
O' Solar Disk,
Aten,
you shine upon the Two Lands,
worn by many a Netjer.
In your name of Shu,
Sekhmet,
Bastet,
Tefnut,
Re-Horakhtey,
I call to you.
You are not alone,
and amongst your rays shine millions.
