Death is Always a Sobering Subject

Just happened to hear from my mom that a guy I knew at school out in Iowa died earlier today in a crash..

That's the second person I knew from in town out there that has died in a car crash before leaving their teens..

A girl I also went to school with out there. (Died in a car crash 11 Feb, 2011. Four days after her birthday..)

I may not have known either of them terribly well, but I knew them well enough that it took my breath away. To think I had just been laughing with Brooke the day before at school. Or that I hadn't been able to catch up with Ryan since I moved back to Colorado.... Just floors me. 

I know life is a fickle thing to say the least. But it just puts it in perspective when two people right around your own age are killed.
