Architecture reveals its underlying principles most clearly when stability is disrupted. In uncertain conditions, shared experiences become intentional, intensified, and approach the nature of ritual. Groups gain self-awareness by collectively focusing their attention. Modularity redefines the concept of occupation by framing habitation as a temporary relationship that may be revised, relocated, or relinquished without adverse effects. This approach suggests that responsible dwelling involves minimal and adaptable engagement with space. If gathering is understood as intentional and dwelling as provisional, architectural values must evolve to reflect and support these changing paradigms.
