I have come across many an account that life is dull, meaningless, empty without a healthy balance of emotion. My species has been taught quite the opposite, yet I grew up with considerable amounts of both teachings.

What I have come to realize, is that both logic and sentiment can reside harmoniously.

Sentiment allows one to realize a connection with something, or perhaps someone that has made a prominent impact on one’s life. It is the process of one emotion triggering a deeper cycle of meaning and representation, therefore imprinting a lasting significance.

Perhaps it is sentiment which draws humans to one an other, and aids them in forming a strong bond. A simple gesture, a perpetual action, a sustaining emotion—]
