You have any favorite future state books? I think I wanna pick some up.
here’s my opinions on all the future state series I’ve read
Future State: Aquaman - Pretty good, I like Andy as Aquawoman and her relationship with Jackson is cool and also Jasckson was really cool in this issue
Future State: Batman/Superman - literally no idea I don’t remember it
Future State: Catwoman - I didn’t mind the first issue, it’s confusing to contextualize it with Dark Detective and Next Batman but it’s ehh it was fine
Future State: Dark Detective - one of my favorites, love the art, I think the story is really interesting and it feels like where Tynion was planning to go with the Batman solo
Future State: Green Lantern - VERY dogshit, the mainstory sucks but the after stories are good, the Jessica Cruz and Guy Gardner ones from the first issue are the best
Future State: Harley Quinn - I really liked this one, ironically Harley kinda felt like the side character, Scarecrow and Black Mask are great in it (also Black Mask’s redesign is literally amazing I love it)
Future State: Immortal Wonder Woman - it was good but idk I wish there was more to it, hopefully the second issue is good
Future State: Justice League - uhh boring but Yara is there
Future State: Kara Zor-El Superwoman - kinda torn on it, I love the art of course but it felt like a bigger story that was edited down to fit into two issues
Future State: Legion of Super-Heroes - idk I read it but don’t remember but it’s Bendis LoSH so I assume it’s bad
Future State: Nightwing - I liked this one, it’s a pretty good bat-family one
Future State: Robin Eternal 1,2 - didn’t like it, I don’t really understand what the point of the story was and I feel like it was trying capitalize on peoples love for Tim and Steph but they barely interacted
Future State: Shazam - idk boring I don’t remember it
Future State: Suicide Squad - really bad except the last page
Future State: Superman Of Metropolis - bad
Future State: Superman vs. Imperious Lex - actually one of my favorites, kinda weird but I think it works honestly
Future State: Superman Worlds of War - I dont remember what the main story was but the Midnighter after story was good
Future State: Superman Wonder Woman - bad but Yara is there
Future State: Swamp Thing - I didn’t enjoy it that much but everyone I talked to about it really liked it, I wish it was weird
Future State: Teen Titans - I didn’t hate it, who Red X is was one of the things I was really excited to find out
Future State: The Flash - bad, I remember someone asking “who is this for” and I think that’s a perfect explanation of it
Future State: The Next Batman - I really wanted to like this but the last two issues have basically just been big fights, the after stories are good though, honestly I’d say check it out if you’re on the fence about it but just know it’s not gonna knock your socks off
Future State: Wonder Woman - best of future state for sure pick this one up
