Sorry this took us so long! Tbf hcs do not come easily to me but here are a few “hcs” (of a sort)

Haru learns to grow wheat for jet (i cannot get the wheat out of my brain) 

Haru gets along with longshot and smellerbee and gets their approval in like 2 seconds which is something that means the world to jet

jet braids haru's hair when he (jet) gets stressed and haru thinks its really cute and keeps his hair long on purpose

Jet and haru play the pocky game! (Potentially with the wheat)

So I saw this ask and it definitely sparked something inside of me that went holy shit. Because your ask made me think of India’s caste system (and this is only tangentially related to atla but I wanted to talk about the caste system). I will be the first to admit that I am not the most well read about the caste system and this is only about what I personally know and have experienced. 

So for those who don’t know, India has a caste system which is essentially a class system but more extreme. There are about 5 main castes (and then “sub-castes” within the main castes): Brahmins (priests/teachers), kshatriyas (warriors), vaishyas (farmers/merchants), shudras, (laborers), and Dalits (the untouchables) [this is in order of hierarchy]. Here’s an article with more information.

Today, India likes to pretend that these castes don’t really have an impact on anything but this is entirely false (although the degree to which is does impact things depends). Personally, the ways that I’ve seen caste impact things while living in the US is primarily marriage. Marriage in India is an important thing and ties families together, and thus it becomes important to marry within your caste. Even if you have a liberal family who are willing to let you make your own choices about who you marry, there may be limits to that - I’ve seen marriage choices be whittled down because of caste. 

There is a whole lot more to talk about castes (this is the bare minimum) but when we talk about race, classes, relationships, and atla (you can draw your own conclusions about what I’ve said) this is one thing that popped into my mind immediately.

I don’t think that anon about writing death was saying *you* specifically think writing about death is wrong. They were probably shading the person you reblogged, and this was their way of saying “I agree with your argument against op, and those that think the same are being ridiculous”. The “y’all” was supposed to be generalized, like saying “I can’t believe *people* are saying that”. I use the generalized you a lot, I’m assuming that’s what last anon was doing. They know you don’t believe that

i said i couldn't care less abt what people write in that answer, and it still applies. minors need to learn how to filter and actively do it. it's that simple. we're not advocating ppl turn a blind eye to actual p*dophilia or things that are actually really dangerous to write. but things like The Discourse are dumb, and can be really easily avoided. just filter, y'all
