Speak To People

When I was growing up, it was very uncommon for people not to speak.  When you woke up you would greet those in the house with good morning. You said it to everyone you encountered outside while it was still morning.  Hello, hey or hi was spoken when you walked into a room or passed people on the street. Each time a person at work got on an elevator, they spoke. It doesn’t matter if we are strangers or don’t know one another’s name.  It matters because we are human beings.  Do not go through this day without speaking to people you come in contact with.  Do not be rude even if they don’t speak back. It is nice to be nice.  You never know who you may meet or how positively you may impact someone’s day because you made the choice to open up your mouth and speak to them.
