It's been one heck of a day. 3 tracks mixed down, and I finally got a chance to cook, and I choose the most difficult entre I'm the Cobra pack to build around. The best way I could possibly have seen this going down was as a hip hop cookup. Finding the right chords to accompany this one took a while. But when you're committed to what you do, you'll make it happen. Like one business philosopher said, if you want it bad enough, you'll find a way. I wasn't told that this path would be easy, but I came onto it with the will to work. This track sounds a lot like the majority of my life. I've never been in trouble, like serious legal trouble, but if you think those who live legit have it easy, think again. Lots of pain, sorrow, and regrets. But because God can see through my faults and find a reason to love, save, and bless me, then I have no problem putting in the work He asks of me. The title of this one is Work. Yet anothertrack, trap this time, proving the simple path is sometimes the best way to go. This one is for my fans. I know you get those moments where everything feels crazy, you get aggravated, heated, and/or nervous, and you just want to escape to a place you can let what you feel out. I've been there. It's normal. I still visit that place from time to time. Thankfully, God understands. One scripture says that the name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run to it and are safe. So go ahead, run or go to that place you escape to when this happens, let it out, give all that weight and bad energy you're carrying to God, and let Him calm you down, set you right and re-energize you, so that you can get back to important things. If you don't have that place of escape in God yet, ask him to help you find or create one. You'll need it. This one is called Escape. This is the plate I was cooking last night. I was trying to find what else to add to it till I decided to rest and went back to it when I woke up, since it is my day off. Then it hit me, sometimes simplicity in music is the best choice. I heard hip hop the second I heard this Cymatic Cobra sample. It reminded me of the time that rappers were lyrical and intelligent. I'm not hating, but it was intelligent, lyrical emcees, skilled DHS, a d creative producers who made hip hop the phenomenon it grew into. And the 90s, I feel, was hip hop's best decade. Just because we're in a different time doesn't mean great hip hop has to die or be ignored. It just means that the culture and business side of hip hop needs to be taught more to hip hop fans and artists, so that we can keep its multifaceted culture alive. I'm dedicating this track to emcees, because I hear many greats who could blow up a track like this. And being a hip hop lyricist myself, I'm proud to say that I was given the opportunity to create something like this buildaround. I call it Word Warrior. First, let me say thank you to everyone who checks my page, likes my music onit, checks out my tracks on YouTube and Beatstars, and especially those who have become my fans on Beatstars. I wanna especially show love to the other talented producers who have become fans of mine and everyone who has been a fan of mine even before I started producing. This week's releases are taking a slightly different direction. After this week, you will not see any more extended or alternate versions of the music I cook up. From this point on, what I cook is what goes on the initial plate. Of course, these beats can be rearranged to fit any artist who wants to work with me. But these are the art pieces in the music gallery I was blessed to build. Also, I will be going back, one beat at a time, recreating a final mix for each beat while I cook up new ones. I may not reach my goal of 200 beats this year, but I can live with being over 75% there already. Now let's get to the lineup. This is what I'm calling the "Alt Left Weekend Drop." No, it does not have anything to do with politics. 😁😂 The first drop is the alternate of my second trap beat, "Lost In Time." I'm following up with an extended version of my global trap track, "We Are One." And last is the alternate mix of one of my hip hop bangers, "Being Honest." The original mixes are already on both YouTube and Beatstars already if you want to hear them. Again, these are the last alternate mixes I will release. And in time, I'm removing them from the catalog. If you enjoy listening to different versions of good music, this weekend will give you a chance to do so from an indie artist and producer. I'm proud to release these, and will be even prouder of the final releases. This is me ditching my undecided phase and getting serious. Hey everyone. Been busy setting up things, so that when I go through the catalog and work on my mixes, each song will be improved. Like I said, I've got lots of work to do. So when I did this cookup, I promised I would put more time and effort into this before putting this in my catalog, so I don't have to redo it. And my new Tascam phones are proving to work really well. I just can't use them for cookup videos. 😒😏 Anyhow, I did this one off my favorite sample in the Cymatic Cobra Pack. It might make some wonder why I decided not to enter the King of Beats Contest @cymaticsfm was holding. This one made me think of the woman I am blessed to have been friends with for 20 years and now love too. She is a special kind of woman, one they don't make anymore, @rareepiphany. She is not only beautiful, but has the kind of beauty of mind, heart, and spirit that every man wishes they had. Many men waste time chasing women waste their time chasing everything that looks beautiful on the outside, only to find that those they chase are not beautiful on the inside. And as every mature and good man knows, if you have no inside beauty, you may be fine, but you ain't beautiful. My lady is beautiful and a truly wonderful blessing. As a person with gifts and talents, I can tell you that a lot of us tend not to blend well in most social circles, because we tend to stand out. And if we have any level of skill, which could be experienced by hearing what we create, there can be a lot of negativity aimed at us from others not as gifted or talented. Needless to say that it is crucial for us to keep proper perspective of our lives and abilities. Some tend to get conceited, though, and that has tended to be the downfall of some artists considered to be the best in their art. My band teacher taught me years ago, "no matter how good you are, there us always someone better." That has both driven me to constantly improve myself and to always be humble. Every dog has his/her day. Plus, while our works may have the benefit or immortality, we as human beings do not. So being arrogant is never in our best interest. A proverbial teaching in the Bible says to never assume the place of honor that has not been given by one higher than you. Take one of the humble seats. It is better for a king to direct you towards a higher place than to oust you from the higher place. My music has attracted and been liked by many people that I have met, but I will not assume that I am among the best, yet. I will instead wait for the day that others would declare it.
