With a hearty-laugh, the blacksmith placed her down as she shrugged with a sheepish smile. “Eh, apparently some new “season” dropped of that show Lapiz and Peridot are obsessed with and it called for a “speedy re-watch of all six seasons” and I really don’t want to watch it again for a third time.”

Bismuth didn’t really understand how could someone just sit around watching Tv and letting time go by. Sure, she enjoyed a movie or two but, not much else really spiked her interest. 

“So I just called it a day off and warped the furthest I possibly could.”

The corrupted best thrashed and growled before them, the size alone making her legs quiver as Connie stood behind Pearl. It was supposed to be a simple mission, a field test to put her graduated abilities to use but when the time came to act she’d frozen over.

They’d been forced to split up, and not knowing where Steven and everyone else had run off to didn’t help.

“W-what?” 

She couldn’t run away! That would leave Pearl alone against this gem. All her training and lessons would be for nothing if she simply ran away leaving behind her mentor.

“No! I-I mean, I’m sorry ma’am but I can not follow that order. I will not run away from the battle.”
