Collision No.137
*Happy to see Belmont competing here while she's still signed to NWA
** Loved this jobber match. Nixi XS and Haven Harris are now on my radar after this one !
*** I had the after match promo on mute and it was still gold because of how much energy Thekla puts in her delivery. She's the best thing to happen to that AEW Women's World Title since Toni Storm !

spEarz2DaStreetz Takez On NXT GOLD RUSH II : Women's North American Title Match - Monroe v. Ruca
Despite showing up to MSG adorned in black gold, Sol Ruca was not able to earn back the North American title from the clutches of Blake Monroe, thanks again once more to a force outside herself.
From the bell, Ruca was not operating at full strength, outfitted with a leg brace - but still, Ruca was determined to put on a show and she did not leave the crowd wanting as she constantly put Monroe on the floor.
Monroe early on tried a single leg crab on Ruca's injured leg, but whenever she wasn't focused on Ruca's injury, Monroe failed to withstand Ruca's counters.
Standing blow exchange ? Ruca exceeded.
Tilt-A-Whirl attempt? Ruca was quick to get up and follow up with her own tilt a whirl punctuated by a thunderous face plant.
The shoulder tackles that repeatedly knocked Monroe on her back were pulled from somewhere inhumanely deep, not based from the feet like Cena's but directly from the upper body - fascinating since Ruca's most alluring feature is her height, not her gains.
Outside the ring, the obligatory Sol Snatcher had the champ shouting expletives while the double clothesline laid out both women, but even with the injury, Ruca appeared to be stronger and quicker to her feet than the champ.
So it was only a matter of time before Monroe went to the Charlotte Flair playbook (who unironically was responsible for Ruca's injury during their participation weeks ago in a fateful tag championship matchup) put forearm to the back of the knee, threw Ruca's cast onto the ramp to the jumbotron and locked in the leg submission.
In comes Zaria - responsible for losing Ruca's North American title to Monroe in the first place. The slower half of ZaRuca overstepped her valet duties and played manager, clamoring for a white towel from the production team sitting ringside just to throw the match for Ruca, leading to Ruca losing her redemption match in one of the biggest arena's in the world.
When has a valet ever had the powers to throw matches for a contender?
When has a valet ever been able to fight in the steed for a champion?
I understand building heat between ZaRuca, but bending the rules like this for Zaria to continue to cost Ruca week after week is embarrassing at this point - and this was a woman who weeks ago was a young double champ with a bright future ahead of her.
It would have been better if Ruca would have just went on sick leave after she got injured on Smackdown.
This storyline of having Ruca get sabotaged by Zaria repeatedly is making Ruca look stupid, and I don't think her intelligence should be compromised just because she dared to surpass Flair's stats without nepotism.
Now, I dont want to see ZaRuca in the same ring together after Deadline, not even in different corners.
Not the best way to start things out at the second official Gold Rush.

spEarz2DaStreetz Presents : Two Ten-Bell Salutez
Amazingly, two WWE Hall of Famer's have passed in the span of seven days so I believe it's only right that I make mention of the time I had been in the presence of both of these icons here on spEarz2DaStreetz.
On an apology tour for the anti-negroid slur her hurled while on a private phone call about his daughter, I saw Hulk Hogan participate in a tag match with Snoop Dogg live at Staples Center in the early 2010's.
Now racial discrimination is a proxy of this European colonized landmass that boldly claims in it's anagrammed format "to be race" (America = I am race), so to say I would be mad at Hogan for his personal views towards my ethnic group would be hypocritical, since I have unsavory views towards all ethnic groups and have no problem including slurs in my own diction, should I need to weaponize those words.
Nothing is more American than racism, and I cant help but feel stupidly patriotic whenever I hear Hogan's theme music whether it was in person or when I dug through the WWE archives.
Hogan was a Real American - boisterous, ignorant, ready to brawl, and up to the task to pimp himself out before Cena had "Cena Sux" as a rallying chant, before the internet started going in on the success of Bianca Belair and Mercedes Mone - you see, there would be no "Hogan Booking" without Hogan.
I have that one memory of seeing the legend perform the legdrop in the ring with an icon from my state of origin, who happens to be another WWE Hall of Famer as well.
Respectably, there was a time when I would agree that WWE Hall of Famer's would get too much airtime in the 2010's that drew attention away from the promotion's new prospects entrusted to keep the business going.
Reflecting on that now, and after seeing Trish Stratus go for the Women's Championship against Tiffany Stratton earlier this month at "Evolution" in Atlanta, I have no problem with turning my back on that opinion I once supported.
Without Hall of Famer appearances I would have never seen Hogan or Snoop for that matter, because even though I spent a little over twenty years from birth in the Golden State, it isn't like Snoop was just riding around my hood making public appearances without it being a ticketed event.
One year Snoop is riding the wave of "Fuck Donald Trump" the next he's DJing at Trump's inauguration. So I see why an unapologetic opportunist such as Snoop was chosen to reintroduce Hogan to my community on that day, and though I dont respect what they were there for, I appreciate the fact that the situation made it all serendipitously fall together to where I saw the two Hall of Famer's under where The Lakers play their home games.
This was the first sporting event I ever payed to go see as soon I crossed the threshold into my late teens. That's the magic of pro-wrestling brought to me by WWE and Hulk Hogan just happened to be apart of it.

spEarz2DaStreetz Takez On Night Of Champions 11 : 2025 Queen Of The Ring Finals
Jade Cargill got tore up at Night of Champions. In this match Asuka outwitted, outpaced, and even out-jobbed Jade. Focusing primarily on Jade's lower body, Asuka spent her recent time away from WWE apparently not far from the PC, because she spent the majority of the match putting Jade in armbars and legbars - a refreshing change of pace to the way Asuka would handle her challengers when she carried the Damage Ctrl. faction on her back. Those legbars were the most effective, especially during Jade's first pump kick attempt where it looked like Cargill saw double and kicked through the ropes, perfect for Asuka to grab her leg and inflict maximum damage that saturated the entirety of the bout. If this match were determined with a point system, Asuka would have outstripped Jade early on destroying Jade's lower body and hammering her with her own patented Asuka kicks.
It seemed as if Cargill by the point of this match was trying to prove she was still in the tournament, performing a noted unnecessary kip-up and took several Asuka kicks to the chest, begging for more, while the boo's rained down upon her from the hostile crowd. Cargill had something to prove, but as the match progressed all Cargill proved was that she needs to hit the PC.
Cargill's first attempt at the chokeslam - countered. First attempt at the pump kick - countered. First attempt at Jaded - countered. And it cant be missed that not only were Jade's biggest moves countered but Asuka transitioned each counter into a submission.
Asuka got the Asuka Lock in and Jade turned it into a desperation roll up, but "desperation" was the key word highlighted for all of Riydah to see. Offensively, Jade got a nice superkick off deep in the match and when her chokeslam actually hit, it was a joy to view.
But Asuka clearly controlled the pace of the match, even having to fall out on the ropes after one of her own signatures fell Jade to protect her competitor.
Jade was taking top rope dropkicks to the face and was fighting hard to break out a grounded armbar as the match wore down.
Her own fallaway slams and suplexes were applied with more force than usual as that early pump kick that got caught up on the ropes seemed to effect her performance greatly, and the jeers from the crowd only served as salt in the wound. As Asuka switched to a more striking focused game, Cargill found holes in Asuka's stance and scored a brutal powerslam!
Cargill barely countered an armbar into a desperation roll up which forced a break, then Asuka ate a pump kick comboed with a sloppy Jaded which Cargill couldn't even keep mounted for the complete three-count due to her obvious leg injury - and with that embarrassment, Cargill was crowned the 2025 Queen of the Ring. I understand that Jade got injured and I commend her for winning the match. I saw Mercedes Mone live at Double or Nothing complain about detractors last month when she won the Hart Cup, so if a belt collector can get frustrated with a tepid crowd then I dont necessarily have smoke for Jade letting her guard down a little and expressing her disappointment with an ungrateful Riydah.
The ring gear was Jim Lee Storm, hell I even applauded for Jade's win, but in no way do I believe that she deserved the Crown this year. Asuka whooped Jade's ass throughout the match, even before Jade injured herself by trying that first pump kick through the ropes, which was not the safest place to perform that spot.
Asuka kept the match together and protected Jade throughout while Cargill struggled to complete the match. Factor in that this is apart of Asuka's recent comeback tour and though Cole at the announce table was calling out "vintage Asuka" - all I saw was new variations and combos with old moves. Asuka honestly should have walked out of Riydah with the crown as the comeback kid. Cargill's semi-final match with Roxanne Perez was honestly the superior match in this year's tourney :
Sexy, powerful, and I could have swore Jade had a wardrobe malfunction with her trunks just to add to the sensuality. That was two women from the South going at it in the States and it was a banger. The finals in Ridyah in no way compared to what Raw got only a couple of days prior at a damn house show. And this is where the Cargill/Mone comparisons intersect because they both have utilized the opportunity to inflate their names through AEW and have made hard fought history at WWE, but the buck stops there because as much as people bash Mone, she has multiple styles under her belt and I can say that I saw in person in Arizona when Mone got shotgunned to All In by winning the Hart Cup that that experience is one of her greatest assets. Cargill knowing only a few power moves and a finisher was exposed, as she won the Queen of the Ring Crown and got shotgunned to this year's Summerslam. Her lack of experience despite her year's spent in the ring was disappointing to see even as she (barely) stood in victory.
The conclusion to the 2025 Queen Of The Ring tournament was an emperor in new clothes moment :
Queen Cargill needs to take notes from her challenger and hit the PC, learn some new moves, get a couple submissions in her skill set. Because not every match the Queen will have is going to be ran like a heavyweight title match. And since Cargill at this moment can only depend on a couple of power moves, she will continue to have circles ran around her in the ring by women spending their time off-camera hitting the gym and mastering new styles.
