...a closer look to the ferris wheel shows how far the natrue is getting it's way. The main bearing elements are full of rust. This way the oxidation goes on faster and faster. It's just a matter of time how long this monuments are able to persist against the inevitable... Tomorrow I'll take you to the next stop of our tour through Prypiat...

As I mentioned yesterday, I found this most scary place in the entire restricted area of Chernobyl. It's the canteen at the Kindergarten. Our guide told us how it came to this macabre scenario. Of course the masks where not laying there at the time when it happened. The figherfighters and other helping people put them there as a symbol of sarcasm. There were so many possibilities for people to protect themselves from the worst of the radioactivity. But they didn't know that it's time to use them as they were not informed. To be continued...
...after going through the doors of the gym, I came into this big room where there was a swimmingpool before. It's still visible, only the windows and the roof are completely destroyed. But also a few tiles on the wall are missing. Water is also not here anymore, and if then maybe just from the rain. After all those places we saw, the day in Chernobyl restricted area is going to end, but before we went back to our start place we want to go to see one more thing...
