TRICEPS AND SHOULDERS! 👊🏻🔥👊🏻 ‼️But first a little help in curbing excess weight gain! ▫️The best way to fight weight gain, no matter what your situation is, resistance training is the best form of exercise to fight weight gain and it doesn’t mean going to the gym 5 days a week to stay healthy and in shape! Resistance training helps preserve or increase muscle mass, strength and overall power! ▫️Resistance training allows for better insulin sensitivity by giving us better glucose control. When we workout, our body uses up carbs as a fuel source and it gets depleted. We become more insulin sensitive post workout which allows our bodies to better absorb protein and glucose to restore the glycogen in our muscles. ▫️When you do a workout that is strength training based, we continue burning calories even after the workout! Muscle is calorically expensive to have. The more muscle we have, the more calories we burn at rest! That's what I'm talking about!!! 😁 Something we can do that allows us to eat more and burn more calories!!! Among soooo many other benefits (increase in mood, energy, etc…!) ‼️Don’t make it complicated! Just focus on weight training 2-3 days a week to help build some muscle and speed up your metabolism!💪🏻 ▫️Lifting weights can be great for treating symptoms of depression and anxiety. (FUNCTION 1/2) I was asked, “do you have problems getting dressed, making food, etc,” & my answer was yes, but I accept the injury & because I am a #specialeducator making intervention is not hard but it’s been very frustrating so I’ve given up in many areas & just have to accept I won’t be able to do that [now].
