HAPPY MOTHER’S/PARENT’S DAY to all those celebrating! I finally finished my special Mother’s Day cake, and if you follow me on Twitter then you’ll know that this one was a major pain in the butt. Still, after much cursing, (and cake abuse), I finally managed to cook a decent strawberry cake and fill it with French-vanilla buttercream and fresh raspberries (to cut through the sweetness.) It went down a treat so I guess all the drama was worthwhile in the end. Overall, I spent a gorgeous day with my two beautiful mums and our lovely family.
