AU where Bucky is a non-trad college student - he’s not sure what he wants to do just yet, but after two tours with the army, he’s going to finally take advantage of the military paying for college and get a degree in.... something.
Darcy, meanwhile, is a polisci major who runs an underground poker ring on campus and is paying a pretty good chunk of her tuition with the business majors’ money (she’s always the dealer/the house, and everyone knows that the house always wins).
Bucky isn’t much for gambling, but he gets invited along to one of the game nights by some scrawny management major who thinks if he shows up with this massive ex-army guy then maybe Darcy will wave his debt and let him play again
She does not. She kicks him out immediately. But she tells Bucky he can stay because she doesn’t have a single problem with him. Not only does he not have any debt with her, but he’s also really hot.
Does this lead to sugar mommy Darcy? Maybe, maybe not, either way Bucky and Darcy are the power couple of the entire school in no time
