It’s so funny when nurses call Chemistry, and I answer the phone, and then they call Microbiology, and I answer the phone, and then they call Blood Bank, and I answer the phone, and then they’re like “Wow, you’re all over the place tonight!”
Ma’am, we’re a 200-bed hospital, and it’s 3 o’clock in the morning. Exactly how many people do you think are here right now?
Either that, or they have NO clue that they have been speaking to the same person in multiple departments.
It’s like a comedy sketch where all of the characters are being played by the same actor, except they’re putting on a fake mustache, or different color glasses, or speaking with a French accent, or something, to differentiate between them.
