Your types of synesthesia: phoneme-color (most is associated, but some is projected), "spatial sequence" it's like my own personal "whiteboard." I can literally move around numbers and do math in mid-air (projected), and emotion-color, (intense emotions=seeing color; projected)

When and how did you find out about your synesthesia?:  

I found out around a month ago when my therapist/counselor brought it up.

How does synesthesia affect you in a positive light?:

I'm artistic, a good speller, good with math, helps me study/remember things, helps me remember people's names, just kind of another little quirky thing about me :)

How does synesthesia affect you in a negative light?:

super sensitive to light and heat, sometimes a little bit scary, distracting sometimes, terrible with foreign languages.

How do you explain your synesthesia to non-synnies?: haven't really figured that part out yet, but it's like seeing your own personal set of fireworks mid air and off to the left/right. it's like having a transparent whiteboard type thing midair, and it's fully under your control, you see numbers in a special 3D way; whenever you think of someone's/something's name, or a word, you automatically think of a color (even if the color "doesn't exist")
