Lilith Briar is an A-Rank Exorcist who’s been with Exorcist Corps for around 10 years or so. She originally joined with a now deceased childhood friend of her’s.

Lilith is a very eccentric, non-chalant, playful social person with a bit of a reputation for being cheeky and a bit cocky in her abilities, with good reason. She’s a high-performing A-Rank Exorcist, literally JUST shy of being S Rank. During battle, she has a sadistic streak a mile wide that’s only amplified if she gets angry. She’s a social butterfly and enjoys being around people. She’s able to get along with most people - or at very least get to civil terms with them.

She’s also quite compassionate and enjoys seeing people succeed and bringing out the best in them. She tends to be very talkative and goes on and on about whatever pops into her head at this second. (She’s also super into horoscopes and tends to introduce herself as “Hello~! I’m Lilith Briar, A-Rank exorcist. Ah, I’m also a Leo with an Aries moon and a Scorpio Rising <3”)

She takes her job and her position as an exorcist seriously. She’s proven herself to be an honest person, holding promises to be one of the most sacred and pure things between two people. She lives her life by a promise she made with a dear friend and fellow exorcist - Danya Ellis - who’s passed on. There was an attack of high-level corrupted phantoms about nine years prior to the story and caused plenty of casualties, causing Lilith to deal with the fact a lot of her co-workers are dead. She also had to help another friend of her’s - Sawyer - who was badly mutilated and scarred during the phantom attack.

The promise was: “Keep being an exorcist, Lilith. Please keep living for me and value life as much as you possibly can….I need you to protect people for the both of us now. Please promise me that.”

Her backstory was actually quite tranquil in all honesty. Her parents died in a plane crash when she was a baby, so her aunt took her in and raised her. She was actually a seamstress for Exorcist Corps and works on making their uniforms (which is what Lilith wears ^^). She’s retired by the time the story rolls around as she’s quite old lol. She was best friends with a woman named Danya Ellis (who she later developed some feelings for) and Sawyer Briggs (….who actually doesn’t have a solid design or gender I need to get around to that..)

Eventually they were scouted out by an Exorcist Corps recruit after they found out all of them had some sort of connection to Exorcist Corps and could see phantoms! So they trained and applied and one thing lead to another, all three of them got in (A-Rank for Lilith, high-Performing B for Sawyer and Low performing-b for Danya)

Then the whole attack happened, resulting in many casualties for both exorcists and civilians…

And now In the current story, both her and Sawyer are still exorcists. She’s also the mentor for the two other protagonists, Venus Beauregard (who’s our MC) and Natsuyuki Kaneko.
