So I posted some of the updated map of Hylos yesterday, here's it again
And there's the northwestern peninsula, right?
There's very little people on the northwestern peninsula, partially because it's a tundra with very little resources. But also, because it has tigers.
And these tigers are terrifying to the people of Hylos.
These tigers are giant. 2 meters tall at the shoulder. They are also very pale, and blend in incredibly well with the snow, brush, and icy ground.
However, what many find to be their scariest feature, is the fact that they don't use magic.
Just about every animal in Hylos uses magic in some way, whether it helps them weather better, makes them stronger, or faster, or stealthier, or just adapt better to their unique environment.
These tigers, however, don't use any magic. They don't use ice or fire magic to keep them warm, they don't use combat magic to make them stronger, they don't use speed magic to make them faster, and they don't use stealth magic to make them stealthier.
However, they are naturally cold resistant, incredibly strong and fast, and unbelievably stealthy.
Magic users are able to tell when people, machines, or animals that have the same magic type as them are using magic. So, when a stealth magic user goes to the northwestern peninsula, they expect to be able to detect any dangers around them.
Then the tigers will sneak up on them and drag them away into the tundra.
This is the main reason why people don't go to the northwestern peninsula.
