As per this tweet, Mike Uyama has picked August 16th-31st as the dates for open games submission for the AGDQ 2015 marathon.
AGDQ, or Awesome Games Done Quick, is a charity speedrunning marathon, wherein hundreds of games are speedran at a world class level, over the course of a week, while millions around the world watch and donate money to The Prevent Cancer Foundation.
AGDQ 2015 will be held January 4th-10th, 2015, in the Washington D.C. metro area. The event is open to register attendance for anyone, speedrunner or not. However those wishing to participate by speedrunning a game must brave the masses and possible rejection by posting which game they'd like to speedrun in front of crowds sometimes in excess of 100 000, on the Speed Demos Archive forum.
It is expected that several dozen will offer to speedrun retro platformer Shovel Knight, making its performance one of the most sought after spots on the schedule.
Mike Uyama will have the ultimate say on which games make it into AGDQ 2015 in the weeks after the submission period have ended.
SGDQ is upon us. I hope I can come home in time to catch some good games. I need to check the schedule. www.twitch.tv/speeddemosarchivesda

This single-segment run through Donkey Kong 64 is entertaining and educating - learn about such cleverly-named glitches as the "swim through vertical walls glitch" and the "swim through shores glitch"!
To give you a taste for how good this run is, you should know that the author begins glitching the game before actually starting the game. That's right: menu screen glitching.
Planning out routes/strats for a Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles speedrun. Japanese speedrunners have clocked in at 2:10:32. Sub 4 hours would be amazing to start, haha.
