It was a matter of minutes for you to leave a note for your father and head for the transportalizer, punching in the coordinates Dirk had given you. Hospitals were nothing strange for you after your eventful youth, though you weren't crazy about them. Still, you knew your way around and it wasn't too long before you'd found the right hallway and the right room.
With a soft knock you pushed the door open, stepping inside and letting it fall to behind you. Dirk was hooked up to what looked like far too many machines, wires and tubing running around him like something out of a science fiction movie. "Hey there," The words were accompanied with a warm smile as you approached the bed, taking his hand. "You look better than I thought with how you were talking..."
