Spell Pouch Tutorial
Spell pouches are one of my go-to things for quick spell work. They're pretty easy to make and endlessly versatile. I also feel that they are a really good tool for beginners to get used to spell work. So, for this tutorial I'm going to be outlining how to make a generic one that can be customized. Enjoy!
What You'll Need:
A pouch, this can be purchased or home made it just needs to have a decent seam allowance.
Needle and thread or sewing machine
Ribbon
Marker
A symbol of your intent (coin for money, heart bead for love, etc.)
Two herbs related to your intent (personally I believe things work better in groups of two so they can sort of feed off of each other)
Optional: Two stones related to your intent
Optional: Chalk
How It's Done:
Measure the three closed sides of the pouch and add the lengths together. Add half an inch to the measurement and cut the ribbon to that length.
Write your intent on the ribbon as many times as you can fit from end to end.
Flip the pouch inside out and stitch the ribbon along the existing seam line.
Optional: At this point you can also use the chalk to draw a sigil of word of intent on the front of the pouch.
Flip the pouch right side out. Hold each item in your hand and firmly state your intent to it before placing it the the pouch.
Shut the pouch and place it in an appropriate area or carry it with you.
It's as simple as that! These pouches are endlessly customizable and great for both everyday spell work and prepping ahead. I hope y'all find this helpful and get as much mileage out of spell pouches as I do!
