You are in sweets heaven right now and God is none other than Jane Crocker.

When you volunteered for taste testing her newest recipes (after finding a time no students were near the kitchens and you two had hidden inside with the house elves) you expected maybe peanut butter strawberry cookies or a swirled cheesecake. Something simple. Common even, despite always hearing about the other’s mastery of baked goods.

But as soon as that treat hits your tongue, you go completely blank for those few moments of chewing.

Hot damn.

“Doll when they say you can bake you can bake!” You exclaim, grinning like a child in a sweets shop. A look you have no doubt she’s been given before. Then you lean right over and make to kiss her eyelids as soon as she shuts them. “Mwah mwah! The next batch should be almost done right? And you said it’s with apple bits instead?”
