In my opinion ItaFushi have to be one of the most romantic ship in jjk for the simple fact ItaFushi constantly choose each other in the whole manga, Megumi chose to live so Yuji wouldn't be lonely, Yuji give megumi a choice to live or die and that so important to megumi character because Megumi never had a choice to be anything but to be sorcerer solely because he was born with the ten shadows technique

It would have easier and the most logical thing to let Yuji be executed at the start of the manga but instead megumi chose to save him knowing it could end badly with being Sukuna vessel, cursed womb arc is a perfect example of it nearly ending badly with Yuji letting Sukuna out of desperation but even then megumi never held it against him, shibuya incident is a another example of it, thousands of people died because of Sukuna actions and still megumi never regretted saving Yuji

Yuji chose to help megumi in the Culling games so he could help his sister out of the Culling games but obviously that didn't work out because Megumi didn't know that she was Possessed by Yorozu.

Megumi could have chosen to die and yuji would have respected that choice, that tell you so much about ItaFushi relationship.

ItaFushi is also a parallel of satosugu, ItaFushi never hid anything from each other and actually communicate with each other unlike satosugu who could never truly be on the same wavelength and actually be vulnerable with each other
