What's the story behind your spellpunk tag?

oh!

thats my dnd game that ive been writing (actively) for the past,,,Year maybe? (passively ive been writing it my whole entire life lmao)

it’s nearly ready to play with the first batch of players (ideally i can reuse it for several years lmao)

ANYWAY it’s sort of “dnd in space” like the aesthetic im going for is very much a fantasy setting and society, but with magic propelling technology into the space age (hence the name: spellpunk, which i jacked from the same naming conventions that made steampunk)

a big part of it is going to be related to eldritch horror (i got Really into hp lovecraft in middle school, and despite him being a nasty gross racist, his ideas still inspire me a lot lmao)
