Colorful spots dance in Amity’s vision as her eyes blink open. Her mind swimming in a daze trying to figure out what happened. Slowly the events of the day come back. She can remember escaping from the city, a satchel with the lost heir crown hidden inside bouncing on her back as guards yell for her to stop and yell at one another to stop her.
She certainly wasn’t in the city now, was she even in Aurealis Kingdom anymore? Wherever she was it was dark, her arms were tied too. Was she tied to a chair?! Where was she?! She had to think, to remember. She’d ran into the woods, her Abominations were keeping the guards at bay. She needed someplace to hide, she wasn’t looking and she tripped. She fell through some brush and tumbled into a rock wall. Is that how she was knock out? No. She remembered continuing to tumble even after she thought she hid the wall. It was a spell, an illusion. She stopped falling in a meadow, before a tower...
The tower! That’s where she was! She’d climbed up it to hide! But something hit her. What or who hit her? Was it the the guards? No matter, she had to escape. She couldn’t get taken back there, not when she was so close to be freeing! All she needed to do was escape with her satchel...
“My satchel! Where’d it go!?”
Her voice escapes her without a thought as she looks around wildly for the bag. Did they take it already?! Who were they even!? She’d have all her answers if she could just undo these binds! In her frantic visual search for the bag she finally looked forward once more. Light finally illuminating part of the room just for golden eyes to lock with brown eyes. A girl who Amity could only describe as gorgeous stood before her. They were face to face very nearly touching and Amity could feel heat rising to her face. A surprised yelp escapes Amity, her feet kick forward knocking the chair over with a thud. Brunette hair sprawls out underneath her, the short ponytail she’d been wearing doing nothing to cushion her fall.
“Titan’s knees! That hurts! Wh-Who are you and why are you standing so close?!”
