So, I was trying to figure out the first Smosh video Spencer appears in, and even though they did the video reacting to his first part in a sketch, of course he had appeared before.

Spencer was hired at Smosh in 2014. Even though he has never been an official cast member, he's worked there a long enough time to where its inevitable he shows up in videos. Even just in the background/as editor/as helpful gamer coworker Spencer (4:00)

In the SmoshAlike Assumptions interview with him and Tommy he talks about his first videos, even though it's a long clip it's worth watching for insight into how he came to be on camera.

Spencer's first speaking role in a video was posted on December 19, 2016, and you can kinda see what he means by disaster. He becomes mostly quiet after saying it was his first time in a video. It's sweet if a bit awkward.

Spencer has come a long way since his first official video. Even though people like to praise him for his skills in relation to his experience - which is understandable when he's in a room full of practiced comedians - its clear from how he speaks about his first appearances on camera that he's spent many years getting better at performing.

Now fans consider him an integral part of the cast who has a ton of iconic jokes. What a cool guy

These next appearances do not include Spencer in a meaningful way, they are just his VERY first small cameos!

The very first time Spencer was on camera for Smosh, was this video in which he wears a grey suit and a fish mask. He is only in the beginning of the video, doesn't speak nor show his face. The others only briefly refer to him as "Speditor."⬇️ It was posted on Oct 30, 2015.

This next video is the first Smosh video I could find that had Spencer's face in it. He appears for literal seconds in the background. (0:57) ⬇️

The first video Spencer speaks in. There are four clips in this video of him interviewing cosplayers. (6:43, 7:25, 7:52, 8:08) ⬇️

And a special shout-out to "TNTL #35 - Gauntlet w/ our CREW!" (10:45) It marks one milestone, his first time on Try Not To Laugh. It's also the video a lot of fans remember first seeing him.

(Though not the first Smosh Pit video he's in. They watch this video where he appears throughout, in the react video. Its the Smosh Summer Games where hes a referee)
