When they both left , he looked toward her. Despite the tears blurring his eye, he could still clearly see Blaze's own face fill with tears.
And for a moment, it brings him back.
Back when he was still at the house.
But it was different.
In those moments, he doesn't feel like Arrifin, the kid that fails to protect his siblings.
He felt like Dagger, the one who swears up and down to protect Blaze from harm and will do whatever it takes to honour it.
