thank you! i agree, i do focus on buying skincare as mindfully as possible- i currently use The Ordinary's vit c and retinol, cerave moisturising lotion and the LRP cicaplast. it's just my skin's a little dehydrated from the retinol (and from being oily in general) so i was wanting to add some extra hydration, and i heard hada labo is a very affordable, effective solution for it. do u also have any sunscreen recs for brown skin? i wanna use retinol more frequently but i never wear sunscreen lol
Yes! That's the way to do it. Hada Labo has always worked for me, so it's a good place to start. The Hada Labo Gokujyun Hydrating Lotion is supposed to be great for skin that's oily but dehydrated, so I would try that out.
For sunscreen, I would try:
Rohto Mentholatum - Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Essence Gold SPF 50+ PA++++. This was the favorite on skincare Reddit. Supposedly has zero whitecast and leaves the skin looking glowy.
Trader Joe’s Invisible Sunscreen, if you're in the US.
Black Girl Sunscreen, which is specifically formulated for brown skin
CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen Face Lotion with Sheer Tint
