Ryou bit back an immediate frown when he heard Malik's voice. He wasn't exactly sure how to feel about the sudden apology.
"...I'm not sure what you're expecting out of this..." he murmured. "I'm not sure if a simple 'sorry' is enough in this situation..."

"Well well, look what the plague dragged in." Jou may have had a sharp tongue as usual....But this time, at least he wasn't threatening murder. Yet, anyway.

Jou stretched a little as he listened to Malik’s question. Despite his very clear dislike of the other at first….Malik was slowly starting to grow on him (though he’d never admit it aloud).
“Nah, I ended up comin back half way through. Just wasn’t worth leaving Yugi alone for that long.” He replied after a moment, still trying to stretch the last remaining soreness from his muscles as he spoke.
“You been takin good care of him while I was gone?”

Odion willingly knelt for Malik to pat the top of his head, a soft smile of affection spreading across his face. After a few moments, he stood and gently placed a large hand atop Malik's own head in return, gently ruffling his hair.
