at first glance , you’d think he was uninterested in the conversation taking place . nodding his head without a second thought , letting out quiet sounds of confirmation to let her know that he was listening . however , he was being rude , sorry kotori . hikaru was indeed just invested in his own train of thought . whatever she had said prior just went in one ear and out the other .
he wondered whether it was the right time or not , should he wait til they got home , should he go the traditional route or keep it casual ? at this point there was no right way to ask such a big question , it all just came down to whether she’d say yes or no . yet he was confident in where their relationship stood and he knew how in love they were , that didn’t mean that the nerves he felt weren’t eating him alive .
