But from your perspective, maybe it might be fun to see where I start and where I’m going! SOUTHERN!STEVE WOULD...

Southern!Steve would always open the truck door for you, one hand on the frame so you don’t bump your head.

Southern!Steve would keep his hand in your back pocket when walking, squeezing whenever he could.

Southern!Steve would show up at your house unannounced just to take you for a drive because he wanted company.

Southern!Steve would take you on movie drive in dates and snuffle up to you in the back of his truck, an assortment of pillows, blankets and plushies to get comfortable with.

Southern!Steve would get real soft after something heated, forehead resting against yours, whispering to you.

"You alright, darlin’?"

Southern!Steve would swear he's a romantic, but he never even asked you to be his girlfriend, he just started introducing you to people as his.

"This is my lady" He's say, wrapping an arm around you.

You'd let it happen a few times until you finally asked him.

"So...I'm your lady?"

"Well yeah, don't'chu wanna be?"

"you gotta ask, Steve"

"I took you to the roadhouse, ain't that good enough?"

^ Apparently taking you to a Texas Roadhouse was him formally asking you to be his girl.

Southern!Steve would give you flowers. All. The. Time. Any occasion, every day, for no reason at all.

Southern!Steve would be amazing at the mechanical bull, like crazy good.

Southern!Steve would tip his hat when greeting you

Southern!Steve would fan his hat on you when it gets really hot

Southern!Steve would put his hat on your head just to see you blush- and because it almost makes him hard.

Southern!Steve would drive with his hand on your thigh, especially when you wear a skirt or a dress.

Southern!Steve would live on one of the best farms in your town.

Southern!Steve would lose his mind if you ever got boots to match his, he might die on the spot.

Southern!Steve would teach you how to eat honeysuckle, pulling it apart for you before holding it up to your lips.

Southern!Steve would probably be a bit more bulky, his muscles toned but his body more...full.

Southern!Steve would LOVE picking you up, any chance he gets, any way. Legs around his hips, lifted bear hug, spinning you around, bridal style. he loves picking you up.

Southern!Steve would probably keep one of his horses for you, only letting you ride them.

Southern!Steve would learn how to braid your hair for you, just so he had more excuses to touch you.

Southern!Steve would hate for you to see him angry or upset.

^ He'd sit outside in his truck after a fight, hands gripping the steering wheel, trying to calm down before coming back to you.

The first real argument you have, he leaves to cool down. But he comes back. Always comes back. Knocks on your door. Hat in hand. "I don't wanna fight you. I wanna fix it."

• He doesn’t cry easy, but when he does, it’s quiet. Shoulders tense. Face turned away. He hates feeling like he’s not enough.

If you ever broke up with Southern!Steve he would act like he doesn't care, but come begging the same night, on his knees looking pathetic.

"Darlin' please, I-I know I said I don't care, but I do, I care so much. Please- just...let me make this right, a'right? just let me take you back home, 'kay?"

Southern!Steve would say "Yes, ma'am" when you’re mad at him just to make you more mad.

Southern!Steve would teach you how to drive his truck, hand over yours on the steering wheel as you sat on his lap.

Southern!Steve would grab your jaw gently when you’re mouthing off, thumb pressing into your cheek, and murmur, "Careful, pretty girl."

Nicknames are a must with him, you almost wonder if he remembers your actual name and it's a cover-up;

Darlin' - Sugar - baby - Hon - Sweet thing

Southern!Steve would pull you flush against him by your hips, slow and deliberate, just to show you how much he wants you.

Southern!Steve would definitely smirk seeing marks he left on you the next day.

Southern!Steve would make BANGING pancakes, any flavour or type or kind, he's winning prizes with them.

Southern!Steve would grip your hips and guide your pace instead of rushing you.

Southern!Steve would whisper praise in that slow drawl of his. “That’s it, pretty girl.”

Southern!Steve would love when you scratch down his back. Actually growl a little.

Southern!Steve would kiss every mark he leaves like he’s apologizing and claiming you at the same time.

Southern!Steve would whisper, "You did so good" in a completely different tone than before.

Southern!Steve would stay awake longer just to make sure you fall asleep first.

He has a pretty thick accent, but he definitely tries to accentuate it and deepen his voice just to watch you squirm, knowing you love it.
