A delicious take on traditional baked beans are these Spicy Apple Baked Beans. This comforting dish is made sweet and spicy by adding diced apples and a mixture of spices.
Ingredients: 2 cans 15 oz each canned baked beans. 1 cup diced apples. 1/2 cup diced onion. 1/4 cup ketchup. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt and black pepper to taste. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro for garnish.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. Baked beans, diced onions and apples, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper should all be combined in a mixing bowl. Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish after transferring it there. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the beans are bubbly and hot, in an oven that has been preheated. Before serving, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Before serving, add some freshly chopped cilantro as a garnish.
